Solomon Page is pleased to announce the expansion of its Legal Services division. Specializing in the lateral placement of law firm partners and contract staffing, the team is now extending its suite of services by offering direct hire talent solutions for both in-house legal departments, and also covering the placement of counsel and associates in private practice. In conjunction with this new service offering, the Legal Services division welcomes Vice President Alexandra Seltzer and Vice President Valerie Phillips, who will specialize in direct hire placements under the direction of Managing Director Ron Schein. The team will support businesses across all industries and carries with them niche expertise partnering with law firms, private equity firms, digital media companies, professional sports organizations, retail companies, insurance organizations, and more. Complementing the Legal Services Contract Staffing team based in our New York and Los Angeles offices, the Legal Permanent Services division will continue to grow its presence nationwide, providing clients with talent solutions to meet contemporary business needs.
Valerie Phillips brings over twenty years of experience in the legal and recruiting industries. A graduate of Brown University and Cornell Law School, Valerie started her career as a practicing attorney, a litigator and trial lawyer, before transitioning to a recruitment role in 2014. She has held recruitment positions at Michaelson Associates LLC, Mestel & Company, and Danos Group. Throughout her career, she has developed and maintained a network of legal talent, including both attorneys in private practice and in-house counsel, across all seniority levels and fields of practice. Beyond her professional experience, Valerie, a mother of two, is an avid volunteer who sits on the Board of the Junior League of Central Westchester and Chairs the Scarsdale School Board Nominating Committee. She will infuse Solomon Page with her inquisitive approach and ability to think quickly on her feet.
Working alongside Valerie, Alexandra Seltzer brings over ten years of experience in executive search with special interest in the aerospace and defense industries. After studying at Indiana University Bloomington and George Mason University, Alexandra held positions at The Marymont Group, Westbourne Partners, and The Tayler Group before joining Solomon Page. Alexandra will focus on placing associate-level professionals and provide a consultative approach to her work.
