This July and August, Solomon Page is proud to support the V Foundation through our SP Cares program. Founded in 1993 by ESPN, and basketball coach and sports broadcaster, Jim Valvano, the V Foundation has become a leading advocate for innovative cancer research. While cancer has touched the lives of many, it does not define an individual's journey. This cause is close to the Solomon Page community’s hearts, as one of our colleagues, Managing Director David Iannucci of the Clinical Resource Network division at Solomon Page, is currently undergoing cancer treatment.
With a mission to save lives and develop cancer cures, the V Foundation empowers researchers across various fields, including blood cancer research, breast cancer research, lung cancer research, pediatric cancer research, and studies on racial and ethnic disparities in cancer. Allocating grant funding for cancer research nationwide, the V Foundation has made a tremendous impact on expanding clinical research, creating more treatment options for the millions of individuals fighting cancer today. Every direct contribution fully supports cancer research through grants and funding, driving the perpetual goal of curing cancer. Recent grants have supported the study of high-grade gliomas for brain cancer research, immunotherapy options for colorectal cancer patients, and other critical areas. While the organization supports innovative cancer research, individuals around the world can support the V Foundation through fundraising and events. From annual marathons and biking events to DIY initiatives and golf outings, each effort plays a crucial role in funding a cure for cancer. Offering events nationwide, the V Foundation, along with collaborators organize numerous activities throughout the year to raise money for cancer research.
Our SP Cares initiative enables us to support the communities we serve and make meaningful contributions to organizations globally. We focus on causes that resonate with our community, hoping to inspire others to take action. In challenging times, our true character is defined by our strength, resiliency, and bold leadership. Through partnerships and employee-driven initiatives, we strive to create a positive impact that extends beyond our organization.
